Patients should come a few minutes early for their appointment. Arriving early gives patients time to update their insurance information and fill out any necessary paperwork. Patients who need to change before their appointment should also leave enough time to switch out of what they are wearing and into loose-fitting clothes. If patients are unsure of how early they need to arrive, they can ask when scheduling their appointment. Patients don’t need to have a prescription from a medical doctor before they schedule an appointment. Chiropractors are qualified to assess injuries, evaluate patients, and determine whether physical rehabilitation is appropriate for a particular patient. If it is appropriate, chiropractors are also able to recommend the best kind of rehabilitation for a patient’s particular condition.
Some patients, however, may want to get a prescription from their medical doctor ahead of time so that their physical rehabilitation appointment is covered by their health insurance.
